  10.     C-64 subscribers to LOADSTAR are quite familiar with WRAPTOR V3 since I
  11. use it to pack all of the Geos stuff for LOADSTAR 64. It's a program that
  12. can take any number of files and pack them into one big file that's easy to
  13. copy -- with a savings of around 40% in disk space. Ordinarily, Geos files
  14. can only be copied by Geos, and besides, even though Geos documents are
  15. packed, the technology used is quite old and inefficient by today's
  16. standards.

  18.     WRAPTOR V3 is a 64-mode program so be sure to switch to the 64 mode
  19. before loading it. You'll be unWRAPping from the LOADSTAR disk to a Geos
  20. workdisk, preferably a geoPaint workdisk. The opening screen is the Main
  21. Menu. First, use I and O (for Input and Output) to set the drives. Input is
  22. the same as "source" and Output is "destination". If you only have one
  23. drive, you'll need to copy "banjo.wr3" with a file copier to a disk with at
  24. least 50 blocks free. Then set the I and the O as the same drive.

  26.     At the Main Menu select A for Archive menu and at that menu select E
  27. for Extract. If you don't see the filename "banjo.wr3" in the file
  28. requestor window, press E again. Sometimes drives need to be cajoled a bit.
  29. Move the cursor highlight to "banjo.wr3" and press M to Mark the file. An
  30. asterisk will appear next to the filemane. Then press RETURN. You have
  31. selected to unpack "banjo.wr3".

  33.     At the next prompt, enter A for All. Then sit back and wait for the
  34. unWRAPping to take place. The geoPaint document is a 32-block USR file so
  35. it won't take more than a minute or so to unWRAP. At 20 MHz it only takes a
  36. few seconds. You'll end up with the USR file "banjo" on your workdisk,
  37. ready to be viewed or printed.

  39.     Put WRAPTOR V3 on your utility disk. Whenever we publish Geos stuff, it
  40. will be WRAPped. We might also WRAP some other software in the future, and
  41. not have room to include WRAPTOR V3 again.
